Two connected modules: master the essentials (~18 hours), then apply advanced methods for pandemic preparedness and response (~42 hours).

Introduce the concept of modelling and its applicability — R foundations, core epidemic models, simulation, and guided exercises. Sunday 13 September is a rest day.

In the final days, teams calibrate and explore outbreak scenarios, then present modelling results that connect methods to response decisions.
