I'm a Research Assistant at the Institute of Health Research, University of Health and Allied Sciences, currently pursuing an MPhil in Field Epidemiology and Applied Biostatistics at KNUST. My interests lie in neglected tropical diseases, infectious diseases, epidemiological research, and the One Health approach. Through my research experience with schistosomiasis, lymphatic filariasis, leprosy, and onchocerciasis, I have developed a strong interest in understanding how human, animal, and environmental health are interconnected. I look forward to applying what I learn from this course toward more integrated, One Health-informed approaches to disease control in Ghana and across Africa.

Emmanuel is an MPhil researcher in Pathogen and Vector Biology at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, working at the intersection of infectious disease research and One Health. With a background in Biomedical Science, his work spans vector biology, drug-resistant malaria parasites, and climate-health linkages, combining wet-lab techniques with computational biology approaches. Currently a Laboratory Demonstrator and Research Assistant in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at UCC, his MPhil thesis investigates acetyl-CoA synthetase inhibitors against drug-resistant _Plasmodium falciparum_. He has contributed to peer-reviewed research on nanomedicine modeling, antimicrobial resistance patterns, and schistosomiasis prevalence in Ghanaian communities, and holds a certificate from the Africa Climate and Health Responder Course (Columbia University/Africa CDC/CHANCE). Grounded in fieldwork experience, he brings an interdisciplinary, human-animal-environment perspective to infectious disease control across West Africa.

Isaac in 2020 founded the Bold Step Foundation, a youth-led youth-focused social enterprise that promotes adolescent sexual and reproductive health education in rural and deprived communities. Isaac is currently serving as the West Africa Regional Coordinator of the Wells Mountain Initiative- a not-for-profit organization in the USA after serving as a Global Advisory Board Member for two and a half years.
