Throughout the week, interdisciplinary teams work on a facilitated One Health case study — integrating classroom sessions, laboratory practice, and supervised field visits.

Integrated One Health case study

Groups apply pathogen prioritisation, surveillance, AMR, and risk communication to a structured case brief. Field visits to abattoir, poultry, CSIR, and KCCR sessions feed directly into team analysis and the final presentation.

How the week runs

Case work threads through each teaching day — from introduction on Monday to final presentations on Friday.

    Case introduction

    After opening and prioritisation sessions, groups receive the case brief and assign roles across disciplines.

  2. Tue–Wed 15–16

    Build & integrate

    Surveillance, climate, AMR, and KCCR lab sessions feed into group analysis and draft recommendations.

  3. Thu 17 Sep

    Field evidence

    Abattoir and poultry visits provide real-world observations for the case narrative.

  4. Fri 18 Sep

    Present & close

    CSIR visit, final report polish, team presentations, and modular certificates.
